Gardenia jasminoides 'August Beauty'

Prolific bloomer with large, sweetly fragrant, velvety white flowers. Lustrous foliage on a rounded evergreen shrub, useful as a low hedge, screen or accent for entryways. Wonderful in cut flower arrangements. Moderate growing 5 ft. tall and 3 ft. wide. Filtered sun.

Zones 8-11 (needs protection from cold winter winds in our area - courtyard-style planting, or warm microclimate against hardscapes on the south or west side of the house)
